i have to admit, bebe has changed his study habits ever since i've met him.
about TWO weeks ago.....
i was helping him with his studies, one of them being a speech, i love giving speeches so i gladly helped.
the informational part was done with sources and all.
there was a problem it didnt sound like something he would say. he wasnt comfortable with it...
So about ONE week later/AKA ONE week ago
well we revised the topic and all spent all night (my famous "all nighters")trying to work with what we had, and bebe even took me to get us coffee and chips so we could survive all night long.
we went to the local gas station and the guy there asked him if he went to Cal State Los Angeles...bebe and him chatted for short while until i returned back with chips in my hand. WE drove back home and typped nonstop until it was finished.
four AM that day, we came back to my place to rest but he couldnt sleep right so he returned home and woke up the next day, (keeping in mind he had school) i woke up three hours later and like a crazy lady drove to his house...he hadnt slept. I felt soo bad but i wanted him to realize that work needs to be done early at least on time and if he had to suffer a good night's rest in order to learn this i would have to push him.
so lucky him he didnt have to present that morning, the essay was postpone til the following meeting class day which is tomorrow but this was a week ago so we were okay :)
so my parents are not huge on thanksgiving so i left with bebe to celebrate it....(that is another blog entry :/)
he took his laptop but focused on other things like craigslist and skating which was very fun i will post some vids later on as well.
we went to stockton's version of Pick-A-Part and found a 1959 classic car vintage!! made in france specially made for the US i fell in love with it...too bad it wasnt for sale it had been picked apart for parts...just imagine the meat on a turkey leg being picked off savagely by starving men...it was such a horrid image i had to put up with,.... that and a early 90's JEEP!! it had too been picked at savagely.. jose and i did some research and discovered that the cars with the pink spray paint had been bought off by the government's CaSH for CLUNKERs program//// you know the one program that payed, or is still paying, people to turn in their old cars for a good amount of cash tht goes toward a NEW car//////
im not too sure on all the details but in sum, it it suppose to do two things:
- get new car sales up
- save the earth from the poisonous old car engines fumes...
welll there was this not-so-big 10 point font advisory warning people about the chemical doused on these clunkers:they were bad for respiratory tracts, eyes, face skin, everything a human needs to function, aside from it being toxic to the enviroment...
the IRONY of the clash for clunkers program
so basically the two main points of this program REVISED
- get new car sales up
save the earth from the poisonous old car engines fumes...- give humans a slow painful death
but i guess besides that i just wouldnt believe that someone would sell their lifted jeep to that program...jose believed that he must have gotten a better jeep.
i have my doubts....
well anyways i will blog more about my trip to stockton another time.
back to the point of this blog....
so after countless days we returned home, :)
on our 300+ miles roadtrip back HE was thinking of new topics!!
can you believe it new topics!!!!
i was soo surprised to see him brainstorming. To think that he wasnt satisfied with his previous completed speech and to throw it all away to start a new one day before he would give it made me sooo proud!!!!!
so this brings us to today he dedicated his day to studying writting and drafting his speech..it is ready except for some small details here and there.
only people who think school is really meaningful take the time and dedication to not HALF ass it. Most students are plain okay with getting a "passing grade" but my bebe actually bugged him that he was gonna turn in something that he wasnt okay with, i personally believe he would have passed with it too!, but his discomfort showed that he is really taking school seriously and that he is not just some plain regular frat boy who focuses on parties, but on the quality of work he presents to both his professors and peers.
he may think he is not that intelligent but i think he is just that he never realized of his potential...in reality he is really smart and i believe he is starting to realize it too!!!
conclusion of reason #453 of why i heart my bebe!
